What should I expect after my abortion?

Bleeding

You may bleed like a period or experience on & off bleeding for up to two weeks. Some women have no bleeding at all. All of this is normal.

Cramping

You may have cramping similar to a period or it may be mild or severe. Take it Easy This is very important! The more active you are the more bleeding and cramping you may have. Most women are able to return to work or school 1 or 2 days after the abortion.
